Luke 22:63-71

Cruelty of Men:

The men who held Jesus mocked and struck him, blindfolded him, and challenged him to identify who slapped or punched him. They were cruel and spoke blasphemy against the Son of God.

Council Interrogates Christ:

The council demanded to know if Jesus was the Christ and for him to admit it. Jesus knew they didn't want to find truth, but they pressed the issue and convicted him under false pretenses.

Christ's Reply to the Council:

Jesus said that he would sit on the right hand of the power of God. The council knew this was a claim to being the Son of God, so they asked him if he was. Jesus replied, "Ye say that I am."

Conclusion:

Jesus had done nothing wrong, but the council cared only for their power. Do you know Jesus and have you trusted him to save you from your sins?
