We affirm the eternal existence of God in three distinct persons, each possessing equal attributes and power: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus, as God's only begotten Son, came to Earth sinless and willingly sacrificed His life as a ransom for the sins of all humanity. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, magnifying the glory of Jesus Christ. The triune God, the creator of all things, sustains the universe and exercises sovereign authority over the Heaven, Earth, and under the earth. His divine will is continually being fulfilled in these realms.
We believe the Bible consists of sixty-six books (Genesis through Revelation). We believe the very words of Scripture are divinely inspired by Holy Spirit. We believe that it is without error and is a living document and will stand for eternal ages. We believe that it not only contains the word of God but is the very word of God. We believe that the Bible is the final authority for faith and life. Finally we believe that God has preserved His word in the English language in the Bible known as the King James Version or Authorized Version. The King James Version is the only English version of the Bible recognized by this church.
We believe the church is a local, visible assembly of saved persons who have been baptized by immersion after their salvation experience. We believe the church has only two offices – pastor and deacon, whose qualifications are clearly defined in the Scriptures. We believe the church has only two ordinances – baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe the primary mission of the church is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every person on earth, baptize those who accept Jesus as their personal Saviour, and teach them to observe His Word.
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour. We believe a person must repent of his sin in order to be saved. We believe that salvation is the gift of God and is unable to be earned by any other means.
We believe the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will consist of two separate events. First, we believe in a pre-tribulation return by Christ in the sky to take His church up into heaven. Secondly we believe in a physical return of Christ to the earth bringing the saints with Him following the seven year period of time referred to as the tribulation. Upon this return, Christ will defeat all enemies and begin His earthly, millennial kingdom.
We believe in a bodily resurrection of all persons. We believe the body, soul, and spirit of every person will be resurrected and the body changed to accommodate his respective destiny of eternal abode. Those who have trusted Jesus as their Saviour will receive glorified bodies equipped for heaven. Those who die in their sins will have their bodies resurrected for the purpose of standing before Jesus to be judged and then be condemned to an eternal existence of separation from God in hell – a place of literal fire and torment.
