Join MBC for the National Day of Prayer

Announcement and Invitation

Mission Baptist Church is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming National Day of Prayer on May 2nd, 2024. Pastor Rains warmly invites all members of our church and the wider community to join together in prayer for our nation, its leaders, our families, and our surrounding communities. This special gathering is dedicated to seeking God's guidance, blessings, and protection.

Theme Based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31 (KJV)

The theme for this year's National Day of Prayer is based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31 (KJV), which says: "For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him."

This passage reminds us of God's protective and comforting presence in our lives. It speaks of God as our lamp, guiding us through darkness, and as our strength, enabling us to overcome challenges.

Solemn Reflection and Spiritual Renewal

As part of our involvement in this important day, our church will open its doors to welcome everyone who wants to join. This day is meant for deep spiritual reflection, rejuvenation, and connecting with God. Through prayer and contemplation, we aim to renew our faith, seek repentance, and express gratitude for God's blessings.

Given the critical state of our nation and the approaching elections, our prayer focus will include seeking God's wisdom and discernment for our leaders. We will also pray for unity and peace in our communities. This is a solemn time to come together, acknowledging our dependence on God and seeking His intervention in our nation's affairs.

Open Doors and Sanctuary Space

The church doors will be open from 11:30 AM to 2:20 PM, providing an ample opportunity for personal prayer, meditation, and reflection. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity seriously and join us in seeking God's will for our nation and our lives.

Call to Action

Mission Baptist Church eagerly looks forward to the community's participation in this national day of prayer. Let's stand together in faith and prayer, believing in the power of divine intervention and for spiritual renewal and transformation.
