We started our Sunday Services with Sunday School followed by the Morning Worship Service. We sang some congregational hymns followed by two special singers who sang & played to conclude our music program. Pastor Bill Rains then came to the pulpit to deliver a message entitled "What Do We Learn After Jesus Was Arrested?" From Luke 22:54-62.

Review of Previous Message

Recap of the disciples' dilemma during Jesus' arrest. Mention of Peter's impulsive act in the garden. Jesus' decision to allow His arrest.

  • Warms himself by a fire with Jesus' opposers.

2. Damsel's Testimony

  • A young woman identifies Peter as a disciple.
  • Peter denies knowing Jesus three times.
  • His language turns to swearing and curses.
  • A rooster crows.

3. Disappointed Gaze

  • Jesus turns to look at Peter.
  • Peter remembers his earlier pledge.
  • Their eyes lock, conveying Jesus' disappointment.

4. Disciple's Heartbreak

  • Peter weeps bitterly.
  • Shows a broken heart.
  • Tears speak of his repentance.
  • God forgives those who seek it when broken.
