Mission Baptist Church's 2024 Valentine's Sweetheart Banquet: A Celebration of Love and Fellowship!

Mark your calendars and shine up your smiles, Mission Baptist Church invites you to a heartwarming Valentine's Sweetheart Banquet, brimming with love, laughter, and fellowship! This elegant evening promises a feast for the senses and a joyful gathering for couples and friends alike.

An Evening of Inspiration and Joy:

Prepare for an evening filled with heartwarming entertainment! Live music will set the mood for joy and togetherness, while a special guest speaker will share words of inspiration and love focused on the true meaning of the Valentine's Day spirit. Laughter, conversation, and the gentle melodies of the music will fill the air as you celebrate the bonds of love and friendship with your loved ones.

Dress to Impress, Share the Joy:

Fellas, youre gonna want to put on a tie and buy your special girl a corsage! This is a fancy event and a photographer will be on site to take your picture 1950S Attire optional

Sweeten the Night with Generosity:

Let's add a sprinkle of friendly competition to the mix! Bring your best baking skills to the table (literally!) and participate in our fun dessert auction. Ladies, please bring in your best dessert (in a disposable or takehome friendly pan) and let’s see who’s dessert will “take the cake”!  Men bring your wallets! You might need to up the big on that pie your wife brought! All proceeds from the auction will go towards Mission Baptist Church's crucial roofing project.

  • Yeast Biscuits with Housemade Apple Butter & Jam

  • Choice of:
    • Smoked Beef Brisket or Smoked Pork Butt
    • Both meats are smoked with cherry & apple wood for a light, smoky flavor.
    • House-made Peach BBQ Sauce on the side

Sides

  • Green Beans
  • Corn Casserole
  • Au Gratin Potatoes
  • Coleslaw

Dessert

  • Your Choice:
    • Coffee or Milk
    • Devil's Food Cupcake with Vanilla Buttercream Icing
    • Vanilla Cupcake with Cream Cheese Icing
